Topeka First UMC News, Info., & Events, Sep. 12, 2025
Greetings Topeka First UMC, This has been another difficult week for our country and world. I have found myself restless hearing news of more violence in our country, and wars that are raging overseas. I am certainly praying for all of those whose lives have been lost, and families shattered. It is not lost on me, that in the story of Noah, God is sending the devasting flood because of the extreme violence in the world. In the sermon on the mount, Jesus reminds us that "Blessed are the Peacemakers." But peace begins with each of us. As we come on Sunday for worship, I pray that we will find a place of refuge. A place to find God and that still small voice within. The theme for Sunday will revolve around Noah and his family on the ark and finding patience in the midst of the storm. See you Sunday, Pastor Brad
