Construction continues here at the church. The celebration room has been the focus of activity again this week. Work in the Chapel will begin in a few weeks.
Coming up on Sunday, we are continuing our sermon series, "Faith Under Construction: Noah's Story." Over the first two weeks we have seen God observing and preparing to take action and Noah's faith in building the ark. Last week we focused on the tremendous faith of Noah to build the ark over the course of years and years. This week, as our story progresses, we will see that God is about to send the flood and he gives his final instructions to Noah. God is preparing to make a new covenant with Noah to bring about redemption for humanity. Our theme on Sunday: Covenant of Creation! We will also celebrate Holy Communion at all three services.
Next Wednesday, September 10, is the Fall Kickoff for the fall semester. We'll eat pizza as a group at 6 pm then kids, youth, and two adult classes will start aat 6:30 pm. Since we're under remodel, weather permitting, kids & youth will get to eat pizza on the playground while the two adult classes will eat pizza in their respective classroom before their class starts at 6:30 pm. Those attending are welcome to bring cookies or fruit to share.
